Our firm has been retained by private sector clients to act in three of the divestments/privatizations undertaken by the Government of Trinidad and Tobago. These were in the petrochemical, hotel and airline catering industry respectively. In one of these cases we acted together with New York City attorneys for a well known United States merchant bank, which initially financed the acquisition of the petrochemical companies being divested and acquired by a foreign investor. In the case of the hotel divestment the International Finance Corporation is the lender to our client.

In the divestment retainers of our firm the lawyers involved were our Senior Partner, Senator Martin G. Daly, S. C. and partners Miss Jo-Anne Julien and Mrs. Sharon Clarke-Rowley, our conveyancing partners.

Our firm is also developing a specialty in telecommunications law and international trade with particular emphasis on anti dumping investigations.

The language of the firm is English but there is an ability to correspond in Spanish. We have a general knowledge and experience of the English speaking Caribbean, the Netherlands Antilles and Venezuela and we have correspondent relationships with law firms in many of those areas as well as London and North America. Our Senior Partner has advised VEPROX (Venezuelan Association for the Promotion of the Export of Goods and Services of the Petroleum Sector)
 
We have a correspondent relationship with a law firm in Washington D.C. and may deliver services in Washington D.C. by frequent visits.
